내 아들 두일이에게
엄마의 손길이 가장 필요한 5살 유치원 때부터 엄마가 회사를 다니게 되었지.
힘들고 피곤하다는 이유로 너와 누나에게 제대로 학교 준비물이며 과제를 챙겨주지 못하고 학교 끝나고 집에 오면 엄마가 기다리고 있어서 반갑게 맞이해서 따듯한 밥을 제대로 챙겨주지도 못한 점은 생각하면 엄마의 가슴 한구석엔 멍으로, 미안한 마음으로 자리잡고 있단다.
그럼에도 한번도 불평불만한 적이 없는 아들에게 엄마는 항상 고마운 마음 뿐이었다.
언제나 엄마를 이해해주고 항상 따듯한 말고 다정스런 아들로 언제나 엄마를 이해해주고 항상 따듯한 말과 다정스런 아들로 네가 내 아들이어서 엄마는 늘 행복하고 자랑스럽다.
네가 원하던 충북대학교 특용식물학과에 합격하게 돼서 너무 축하하며 이제부터 대학생으로서의 책임과 본분을 다하리라 믿으며, 네 삶의 질을 높이기 위해 책을 많이 읽기를 권하고 싶다.
수많은 책들을 읽다보면 네가 앞으로 해야할 일, 꿈, 희망 등등 캄캄한 속에서의 한 줄기 환한 빛을 발견할 수 있는 길잡이가 되줄 것이라 믿으며 아들 두일이의 앞날에 항ㅇ상 행운이 함께 있기를 두손모아 바란다.
