낮선 곳 청주에 너를 내려놓고 오면서 마음이 짠해지더라
일주일 후엔 어엿한 대학생이 될 아들인데도 엄마 눈엔 아이 같으니 말이야
유난히 허약체질로 아토피피부염과 기관지비염에 부비동염까지, 그래도 잘 견뎌내고 멋지게 자라주어 많이 고맙구나. 고등학교 1학년 이였지, 늦은 밤 호흡곤란으로 119에 실려갔을때, 그 순간 시퍼렇게 얼굴이 변하면서 엄마를 부르던 모습이 생각난다 너무나 놀래서 어찌할 바를 몰랐던 그 시간이 떠오르네. 우리 상훈이. 엄마에게 사랑스럽고 귀한 아들인거 알지! 사춘기를 심하게 앓으며 엄마와 더욱 가까워지고 서로의 마음을 투명하게 읽을 수 있었던 시간들을 기억해 본다. 엄마는 알아. 상훈이의 따뜻한 마음을 말이야. 누구보다 엄마를 생각하는 그 마음...
이제는 둥지를 떠나 비상할 시기이다. 지금까지 준비하고 다져진 것을 마음껏 펼쳐보렴. 최고의 에너지로 쿵쾅거릴 상훈이를 기대한다. 로봇기계공학에 유달리 관심이 많은 아들. 책장을 정리하다가 초등학교 때 대회 나가서 최우수 받은 상장들을 보았다. 어렸을 때 레고를 가지고 놀며 특이한 로봇을 뚝딱뚝딱 만들어 내던 모습이 눈에 선하다. 선반위에 진열해 놓고 부서지면 안된다고 당부했던 것도 새삼 떠오른다. 기계공학부에서 새로운 것들 많이 수학해서 즐겁고 멋진 공학도가 되길 바란다. 무엇보다 자신이 하고자 하는 일을 할 때가 행복하다는거 알지! 우리아들 바르고 성실한 상훈아. 충북대를 선택 한것에 박수를 보낸다. 엄마 아빠는 고려대에 등록하기를 바랬 었는데 네 생각이 옳았다는 것을 이제 깨닫는다. 신중을 기해서 충북대 기계 공학부를 선택한 만큼 학교의 명예와 또한 자신의 비전을 위해 최선을 다해주길 바란다. 기도할게. 체력 잘 유지하고, 긍정적인 생각으로 어디에서든 평화를 마늘어가는 상훈이가 되기를 간절히 바란다. 행복은 나로부터 시작 이란것, 잊지 말구! 집이 텅 비겠지 알맹이들이 쏘옥 빠져나간 자기가 많이 허전할거야, 집 떠나 모든 것이 낮설고 생소하겠지만 차근차근 알아가며 잘 적응하기 바래. 엄마는 항상 네 가까이 있다는거 잊지 말구. 많이 보고 싶을 거야, 사랑해 아들~♡
